The road less traveled

Years ago, Marvin and I went down a road that was less traveled. That road was long and hard, although it wasn't the best route to take, it sure was worth the trip.

When we were married, he had a "9 to 5", so to speak, but eventually left to pursue full-time music ministry.

It was tough to say the least. However, on that journey, he learned some skills that are profitable now, but wasn't so much back then. He would sit in on studio recordings and learn how to produce background vocals, lead vocals and the such. He learned how to engineer. He learned how to operate Pro Tools and Digital Performer. He also learned to road manage and do booking. I didn't understand how the extra hours he'd put in to become knowledgeable would pay off, but they have in ways I couldn't have ever imagined.

You may not be able to see the insight your husband is gaining with some of the "extra" things he's involved in. However, the ability to diversify oneself in the music industry is golden. If one well isn't flowing, you can always draw from the other one.
